Leveraging on 40 years of Evergreen Group's culture - "Challenge,
Innovation and Teamwork", EVA Air's Engineering and Maintenance Division
was spun-off as an independent corporation on 1 Sep. 1998 to become a new
entity named Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation (EGAT) with General
Electric Company (GE) as an equity partner. EGAT was tasked to uphold aircraft
maintenance quality and promote technical flight safety while creating adequate business value.
Having been certified as a qualified maintenance facility by the US Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States, Europe's European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA),
Japan's Civil Aviation

Bureau (JCAB), the Civil Aeronautics Administration of the Republic of China (CAA)
as well as a host of other national
regulatory bodies, EGAT's goal is to deliver high-valued engineering
solutions to airline and aviation partners that (1) PROMOTE safety standards, (2) UPHOLD service quality,
(3) TAILOR customer-centric customized solutions, and (4) SATISFY with competitive price offerings.
The JV marriage between EVA Air and GE incorporates best management practices onto effective fleet management.
EGAT has since evolved into a specialty, high business-value MRO, undertaking mega-scale modifications such as the
Dreamlifter in partnership with Boeing, as well as engaging in complete Section 41 skin replacements, Horizontal
Stabilizer skin replacements, and executing AOG recovery repairs on any portion of the airframe structure.
EGAT's customer portfolio has expanded to cover more than 20 global customers, who currently experience the high
business value and quality-infused solutions that EGAT consistently delivers.
EGAT's high value solutions are possible through the implementation of robust management systems and processes which
include the Oracle-based MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) System for engine overhauls, corporate-wide Six Sigma
deployment, Human Resource Management, Job Qualification, Balanced Scorecard, Product Safety, Knowledge Management and E-Commerce.
EGAT will continually search for value-driven activities with that airline customers increasing look for in an industry of
high fuel prices. EGAT's OEM-approved parts manufacturing capability is one such business activity that it has recently
acquired to manage aircraft downtime in the face of material parts shortages.
