To further promote the quality of aircraft maintenance and upgrade flight
safety Through market competitiveness, EVA Air’s Engineering and Maintenance
Division was reorganized as an independent corporation on 1 Sep. 1998. The new
corporation is named Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation (EGAT). EGAT
has been
certified
as a qualified maintenance facility by the Civil Aeronautics Administration of
the Republic of China (CAA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the
United States, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and China Civil Aviation
Association Airworthiness and Maintenance Committee (CAAC). EGAT continues to
build upon EVA Air’s Engineering and Maintenance Division's established record
for maintenance quality and flight safety. EGAT leverages on its joint-venture
partner with General Electric Company (GE) to improve on EGAT's technical
proficiency and innovation in aircraft maintenance.

While continuing to undertake maintenance
services on the EVA Air and UNI Air fleet, EGAT has expanded on its airline
customer portfolio, offering maintenance services with the aim of providing the
finest maintenance solutions in the industry.
Infused with by the corporate spirit of the Evergreen Group - "Challenge,
Innovation, Team work", EGAT hopes to create a culture of cooperation, courage
and innovation. For the purpose of operational effectiveness and efficiency,
EGAT has introduced the latest management tools such as MRO (Maintenance,
Repair and Overhaul) / ORACLE System, Six Sigma, Job Qualification, Product
Safety and knowledge management.
