On Aug. 06, 2008, EGAT signed a service contract with Sakhalinskiye Aviatrassy (or SAT Airlines) on Dash 8-300 support that includes training. SAT Airlines is based out of Sakhalin island’s Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport.
SAT Airlines is a dynamic airline thriving in the Far East Russian Federation. It is engaged in regular cargo and passenger operations on both domestic and international routes, with a mix of Western and Russian aircraft types. Besides serving the Kuril Islands as well as domestic routes, SAT Airlines operates regular international air services between the capital Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and cities in North-East Asia such Hakodate and Chitose in Japan, Busan and Incheon in Korea, as well as Beijing, Dalian and Harbin in China.
EGAT sees SAT Airlines as a strong business partner and key to its plans to expand its MRO partnership footprint into Russia. EGAT looks forward towards close technical relationships with the strong and profitable SAT Airlines.
