| Fourth Dreamlifter Flies At EGAT. |
|
On 15 JAN 2010, the fourth and last in a series of Dreamlifters took to the skies for the first time on a sunny Friday morning. The test flight lasted a little more than three and a half hours, and performed well during the flight. It has been a great journey that started off in July of 2005 with the induction and modification of the first aircraft. The corporate attitudes of Boeing's "Working Together" melded extremely well with EGAT's "Failure Is Not An Option" through all four and a half years.
The steadfast commitments to these 2 attitudes at Boeing and EGAT have been undoubtedly the success drivers to this program. Many observers have commented that all 4 aircraft, which were modified from regular 747-400 passenger jets, look bloated and beast-like. However, the joint Dreamlifter team at EGAT continues to marvel at the aircraft, and appreciates the vital role that the Dreamlifter plays in the 787 aircraft production program.
The team at EGAT appreciates the experience of the "Working Together" attitude by Boeing, and the confidence placed by Boeing on the EGAT team to successfully accomplish the modification tasks on all the aircraft.
EGAT looks forward to more future opportunities of "Working Together" with Boeing, as well as with airline partners or aircraft lessors looking to a world-class, high value proposition modification site.
Contact EGAT for your modification needs.
