Company Quality Policy

Flight safety is one of the most important issues in aviation-related industries. Upholding the policy of safety first and quality foremost, EGAT continues to pursue strong flight safety, ground safety, and personnel safety. Through professional and standardized maintenance operations and proactive, well-trained employees, the Company provides customers with professional technology and high-quality aircraft, engine, and component maintenance services, as well as component manufacturing and assembly. EGAT has served more than 40 domestic and international airlines and will continue to strengthen internal management, improve quality and performance, and provide customers with the highest-value services and assurance.

EGAT has established a Safety Management System (SMS) with reference to documents from the International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO), formulating, implementing, and continuously improving strategies and processes, and ensuring that all maintenance operations meet safety and quality standards through appropriate resource allocation in order to practice the policy of safety first and quality foremost. Related procedures and operating manuals of EGAT's maintenance plant, such as the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM) and Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), have been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), respectively, and EGAT is capable of dual release for related maintenance work. In addition to RSQCM and MOE, EGAT also holds ISO 9001, AS 9100, and AS 9110 certifications to ensure implementation of quality management.

EGAT's manufacturing plant has also established documents such as Product Safety Working Instructions and conducts internal process audits for customer products as well as supplier quality system and process audits. All products and services comply 100% with customer-required third-party quality system and process certifications, regulating quality control at each stage of product manufacturing and ensuring that customer expectations for product safety are correctly communicated and realized in products. Over the past three years, all maintenance and manufactured products have followed the requirements of certification bodies' quality and safety management system procedures, with no product recalls, counterfeit parts detected, or other negative quality management events.

1. Safety Management Organization and Communication

To ensure that EGAT's emphasis on quality is internalized by every employee and reflected in actual actions, the Accountable Manager (President) chairs the Safety Review Board (SRB) and Quality Assurance Conference (QAC) to review maintenance governance and resource application, promote safety and just culture, and assure quality. Department safety managers also participate in quarterly Safety Operation Coordination Meetings (SIC) to ensure consistency between policies, guidelines, and maintenance practices. Maintenance units hold monthly Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings to communicate quality and safety notices, policies, and resources to frontline managers and employees, ensuring the circulation of quality and safety information.

2. Safety Management System Training

Every EGAT employee shares responsibility for promoting quality and safety. The Company has established and maintains safety management system training plans. Employees receive safety management system training when hired and undergo regular refresher training, enabling each employee to understand the importance of hazard identification and risk control. Safety management system courses include executive SMS courses, general SMS courses, SMS enhancement courses, and risk management courses.

3. SMS Safety Reporting System

EGAT has operated the SMS Safety Reporting System since 2019. Based primarily on ICAO standards, the system identifies hazards through voluntary and mandatory reporting, audits, and incident investigations. It collects hazard information through reactive methods such as incident investigations, proactive methods such as audits, and predictive methods such as data analysis, and evaluates risk levels. After hazards are confirmed, risk assessment is conducted. Based on severity and likelihood, EGAT determines whether the risk is significant, implements mitigation measures such as control procedures, training, or engineering improvements, and monitors residual risks. Data are integrated through the safety reporting system and regularly reviewed and adjusted until risks are reduced to an acceptable level. EGAT encourages all employees to proactively report safety issues to identify actual or potential hazards, thereby eliminating or reducing possible resulting harm. After an employee submits a safety report, it goes through a series of review procedures. If the report identifies a hazard and relevant responsible units propose and complete corrective actions, it is recorded as an accepted safety report case.

EGAT also independently develops and designs aircraft equipment and is committed to improving the flight safety environment.

Precision Development of Professional Tools for Aircraft Doctors

Repairing aircraft is like performing precision surgery, and original manufacturer tools may not fit every situation. The team proactively measured advanced aircraft at the aircraft side and developed dozens of dedicated maintenance tools, demonstrating that Taiwanese engineers have world-class design capabilities and can ensure flight quality and safety in the fastest and most precise way.

Establishing Preventive Inspection Technology for Leading-Edge Slat Systems

For potential material degradation risks in leading-edge slat systems, the engineering team drew on expertise in flight control system maintenance and technical analysis to independently develop backlash pre-inspection technology. Signs of corrosion and wear that were previously difficult to detect early are transformed into measurable and interpretable warning indicators, enabling abnormal conditions to be identified before failures expand. This technology strengthens flight safety and fleet reliability and demonstrates the Company's integrated capabilities in professional flight control system maintenance, abnormality diagnosis, and preventive inspection technology, providing substantive benefits for enhancing high-end maintenance service value and long-term technical competitiveness.

To gradually achieve the global net-zero carbon reduction goal, EGAT promotes process improvements, technology upgrades, electronic work orders, and adjustments to process scheduling to improve manufacturing and maintenance efficiency. The Company also uses recyclable and reusable raw materials and packaging, working to reduce environmental impacts across product life cycles. Establishment of the EASA 147 Maintenance Training Center

To enhance the Company's autonomous maintenance training capabilities and effectively reduce outsourcing costs, EGAT established a project centered on building a maintenance training center compliant with EASA Part-147 certification. Since project launch, EGAT has integrated existing training resources, overcome regulatory and institutional differences, and undergone multiple reviews, ultimately obtaining formal EASA approval on September 4, 2025, becoming Taiwan's first training institution to receive this certification. Through the project, EGAT successfully shifted from reliance on external training to independently offering EASA-approved B777/B787 B1/B2 type training courses. In the future, this will continue to bring greater operational autonomy and efficiency, tightly aligning training effectiveness with maintenance needs. The three major synergies of the project are described below:

Training Autonomy

Improves the Company's autonomous B777/B787 type training capabilities, eliminating constraints from external training provider schedules and allowing classes to be adjusted according to maintenance manpower demand peaks and troughs, improving training schedule flexibility.

Training Efficiency

A single course content and teaching process can simultaneously meet EASA and CAA licensing requirements, enabling trainees to obtain dual certifications in the same training session, greatly improving training efficiency and avoiding duplicated coursework to realize the benefit of one course, two certifications.

Enhancing Corporate Brand Image and International Visibility

The Company is Taiwan's first EASA-certified Part-147 type maintenance training center, significantly enhancing its professional image and influence in the international market and setting an industry benchmark.

Procurement of Eco-friendly Raw Materials

To reduce environmental impact and in consideration of international restrictions on nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) detergents, the maintenance plants worked with suppliers to replace cleaning fluids approximately six months to a year ahead of the implementation of NPE regulations in Taiwan. Similarly, the manufacturing plants replaced the cutting fluids in processing equipment with plant-based alternatives to optimize environmental impact and cost. Given that aerospace manufacturing processes involve the extensive use of chemicals, suppliers actively invest in the research, development, and implementation of eco-friendly formulations. EGAT also incorporates environmental impact and employee health into its procurement considerations for raw materials, working together to contribute to the sustainable development of the aerospace industry.

In 2025, purchases of eco-friendly detergents and cutting fluids totaled approximately NT$5.22 million.

By developing and manufacturing professional maintenance equipment locally in Taiwan, EGAT eliminates the need to ship heavy machinery from the United States and Europe. This not only shortens maintenance turnaround times but also directly reduces carbon emissions from long-distance air freight, using technological expertise to support environmental protection and low-carbon goals.
